The Consortium is a powerful force for the advancement of higher education in and around the nation’s capital. Comprised of twelve universities and two colleges, the Consortium provides 130,000 students with opportunities to benefit from the combined resources of its members. Consortium institutions educate students from all 50 states as well as more than 14,000 from around the world. Students and faculty from over 150 countries and all continents can be found here. Trinity President Patricia McGuire is the current chair of the Consortium.
The Greater Washington Board of Trade is the only organization representing business across the Washington region – the regional chamber of commerce for more than 1300 companies in the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia. The Board of Trade connects members to the people, organizations and information that can build their business. At the same time, the Board works to make Greater Washington the best place to work and live. Trinity President Patricia McGuire serves on the Board of Directors.
The National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) serves as the unified national voice of independent higher education. Since 1976, the association has represented private colleges and universities on policy issues with the federal government, such as those affecting student aid, taxation, and government regulation. Trinity is an active member of NAICU.
The Women’s College Coalition, is an association representing the 78 women’s colleges in the United States and Canada. Its current membership is 66 colleges, including public and private, independent and church-related, and two-year and four-year colleges. Located on the campus of Trinity.
