New Two-Car Elevator Opens in Main Hall

January 10, 2012 - Trinity is pleased to announce that a new two-car elevator is now servicing Main Hall. Thanks to the generosity of alumnae who have responded so remarkably to Trinity Annual Fund appeals over the last several years, Trinity had the financial resources to build a second elevator. The installation of the elevator was a major project during the summer and fall of 2011, starting with demolition to clear the way for the new elevator shafts, and then the construction of the shafts and installation of the elevators. Ambassador Susan Flood Burk ’76 to Speak at December Graduation

Trinity Posts Record Enrollment With More than 2,550 Students

October 25, 2011 - President Patricia McGuire announced that Trinity’s fall 2011 enrollment is 2,555, an all-time high in the history of Trinity. This record enrollment reflects an enrollment growth of 93% since 2001 and an increase of 11% over fall 2010. The fall enrollment includes more than 775 new students in all four schools. In the College of Arts and Sciences, Trinity’s historic women’s college, 996 students are enrolled. This is the largest women’s college enrollment in Trinity’s history; the women’s college has grown by 135% since 2001. Trinity Alumnae, Trustees, and Honorary Degree Recipients Among Washingtonian Magazine’s “100 Most Powerful Women”

October 13, 2011 - Three Trinity alumnae, three Trinity honorary degree recipients, and three Trinity trustees were named to Washingtonian magazine’s list of the “100 Most Powerful Women” in the October 2011 issue of the magazine.  In a preface to the list, the Washingtonian noted that “It’s been a very good year for women in Washington…. September 25, 2011 - Trinity senior Tiara Bland ’12 was awarded the prestigious St. Catherine Medal at Cap and Gown Mass on September 25, 2011.  Bland, a human relations major who has a minor in education, is from Windsor Mill, Maryland.  Bland has distinguished herself as a scholar and student leader in many ways. She transferred to Trinity and immediately became an active participant in campus life.
