Trinity Hosts Brass Concert Featuring Musicans from National Symphony Orchestra and Duke Ellington School of Arts, Sunday, January 11

December 15, 2014 - Start your new year with festive brass! Trinity is proud to host a very special chamber concert on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 2:00 pm, in Notre Dame Chapel, featuring ensembles from the National Symphony Orchestra and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. The concert is part of the National Symphony Orchestra’s “2015 NSO In Your Neighborhood”, a week-long series of concerts in a variety of venues from Brookland to NoMa. President McGuire Participates in White House Summit on Expanding Access to Higher Education

December 5, 2014 - Trinity President Patricia McGuire was invited to participate in the White House College Opportunity Day of Action, a major summit of college and university presidents, K-12 educators, and business and nonprofit leaders convened by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama on December 4. During the Summit, which focused on expanding access to higher education and improving completion of college degrees, President McGuire was featured on a panel, “Customizing Completion: The Campus Perspective.” Each higher ed institution participating in the White House Summit made commitments to expand access to education. Trinity Graduate Sandra Villegas ’13 Shares Her Journey of Persistence, Triumph and Earning Her College Degree

October 3, 2013 - Trinity alumna Sandra Villegas ’13, a College Success Foundation-DC Leadership 1000 Scholar, and another women’s college graduate, Achievers Scholar Anita Foster, a Spelman alumna, inspired hundreds of supporters of CSF-DC with their individual stories of persistence and triumph. They spoke at the annual D.C. Costco fundraising breakfast on October 3, 2013, that raised more than $650,000 for scholarships and support services for D.C. students.
