Trinity Graduate Sandra Villegas ’13 Shares Her Journey of Persistence, Triumph and Earning Her College Degree

October 3, 2013 - Trinity alumna Sandra Villegas ’13, a College Success Foundation-DC Leadership 1000 Scholar, and another women’s college graduate, Achievers Scholar Anita Foster, a Spelman alumna, inspired hundreds of supporters of CSF-DC with their individual stories of persistence and triumph. They spoke at the annual D.C. Costco fundraising breakfast on October 3, 2013, that raised more than $650,000 for scholarships and support services for D.C. students. President McGuire to Receive Honorary Degree From Howard University

May 6, 2013 - Howard University will honor President Patricia McGuire at its 145th Commencement Convocation on Saturday, May 11, 2013. President McGuire will be awarded an honorary degree for her transformation of Trinity since she became president in 1989, her leadership role in higher education both locally and nationally, and her many contributions to the Washington community. Trinity and Georgetown University Partner with KIPP Charter Schools to Increase College Completion Rates

November 27, 2012 - KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program), the nation’s largest nonprofit charter school network, announced that it will partner with both Trinity Washington University and Georgetown University in an effort to increase college completion rates for underserved KIPP students nationwide.
