National Service Day Brings Ambassador Susan Rice and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to Campus

U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice and her family and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and his wife joined Trinity students, alumnae and staff, and hundreds of volunteers on Trinity’s campus to sort and pack food donated during the D.C. Citywide Food Drive on the National Day of Service on Saturday, January 19.  The food drive, which was organized by the Presidential Inaugural Committee, collected food donations from congregations of all faiths throughout the city. More than 4,500 cans, boxes and other packages of food were collected and donated to area food banks, including Capital Area Food Bank and So Others Might Eat.
