May 9, 2011 - President McGuire announced that the 2011 Commencement speaker at Trinity Washington University will be Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole, scholar, educator, humanitarian and former college president. She is currently the director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art. Trinity’s Commencement will be held on Sunday, May 22, at 11:00 a.m. Cole will be presented with an honorary doctor of letters.
