President McGuire Reflects on a Wide Range of Topics for the Washington Post Online Feature, On Success

President Patricia McGuire writes on a broad range of current issues related to leadership for the new online feature published by the Washington Post called On Success. The new feature profiles people who have been successful in a variety of ways, offers tips on achieving success, and poses questions to the panel of leaders about different facets of success.

Among the topics that President McGuire has written about are: Redskins coach Jim Zorn, second chances and a winning attitude; job dissatisfaction and whining in the workplace; New Year’s resolutions; gender discrimination in higher education; Tiger Woods and the crashing of an icon; the White House party crashers and the celebrity culture; fear of failure as an obstacle to success; helping Hispanic immigrants achieve their dreams of college; and overcoming mindless prejudice and discrimination.
