Margy Brooks Reagan ’78 has been named the new director of alumnae affairs at Trinity Washington University. “Margy brings to this important position positive energy, creativity, enthusiasm, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills,” said Ann Pauley, vice president for institutional advancement. “I am especially pleased to have a Trinity graduate in this vital position.”

Reagan entered Trinity with the Class of 1979, majored in political science, and graduated early with the Class of 1978.  She went on to earn a master of arts in international economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, and a master of science in accounting from American University’s Kogod College of Business Administration. She is currently enrolled in a master certificate program in government contract management at Villanova University.

For the past 15 years, Reagan has been a successful real estate agent – a career that develops strong customer service and marketing skills, networking talent, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Previously she was a corporate controller and accountant, and a program associate for a multi-faceted cultural festival, Egypt Today. Her higher education experience includes working for several years as a program specialist at American University’s School of Public Affairs. She has also been an active volunteer for the Washington Summer Opera Theatre and several schools, including Stone Ridge Country Day School, St. Anselm’s Abbey School and Grace Episcopal Day School.

Reflecting on her new position, Reagan said, “As a proud alumna, I believe our connection to Trinity does not end with graduation; instead, it is a lifelong relationship grounded in our common goal of education. Trinity is about leadership.  What I have found here at Trinity is a vibrant student body that will carry on Trinity’s legacy.  As part of empowering this community of leaders, and serving as a conduit to alumnae and alumni, I will be reaching out to a wider span of graduates in each of Trinity’s three schools. I plan to implement online programming initiatives that will offer educational enrichment opportunities; I also plan to expand alumnae and alumni events and programs in the Washington region and across the country.  I am very interested in developing career networking opportunities for alumnae and alumni, and offering expanded career services in these difficult economic times. I invite Trinity graduates to join me in this collaborative effort as we continue to expand our community-building efforts that define Trinity and make it a true leader in our nation’s capital.”
