Allison Dobbs

At Cap and Gown Convocation in Notre Dame Chapel in September, Trinity senior Allison Dobbs was presented with the prestigious St. Catherine Medal.  Dobbs is an international affairs major from Sherman, Texas, and has distinguished herself in many ways. She is an honor student, Intelligence Scholar, volleyball player, Sr. Seton Cuneen Fellow, Green Leader, and vice president of the Trinity College Republicans.  Last fall, she helped organize a visit for several Trinity students to meet with Senators Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).  She currently is interning at the U.S. Department of State.

The distinguished award is named after St. Catherine of Alexandria, a third century woman renowned for her love of learning.  She is honored as the patron of philosophers.  This award is given by Kappa Gamma Pi, the National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society, to recognize an outstanding senior who reflects the ideals of St. Catherine.  Trinity is a member of Kappa Gamma Pi, and selects the recipient based upon a review of the academic, co-curricular and leadership achievements of the candidates.
