NIMH - rich resource from the National Institute of Mental Health, this site offers extensive resources on various topics such as Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Alzheimer's Disease, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Schizophrenia, etc. Offers specific information for researchers (news and events, grants, contracts, committees, and research activities) as well as information for the general public (the public information section provides specifics on "mental disorders, diagnosis and treatment," in addition to links to other NIMH programs such as D/ART, the Depression Awareness Recognition Treatment Program).

Psych Central - among the first and best annotated guides to the most useful websites, newsgroups, and mailing lists online today in mental health, psychology, social work, and psychiatry. Developed by John M. Grohol, Psy.D.

Psychology Virtual Library - part of the World Wide Web Virtual Library, this searchable site links to inspected and evaluated websites in the field of psychology. Includes numerous links under "Basic Academic Psychology" and "Directories or Guides to Psychology Sites".

Theory Into Practice (TIP) database - developed by Greg Kearsley (Ph.D) with the intended goal to make learning and instructional theory more accessible to educators. Contains descriptions of psychological theories and concepts relevant to learning and instruction.
