The Day the Wikipedia Died

January 17, 2012 - Don’t panic, students, but on Wednesday, January 18th, 2012, Wikipedia will be offline. I repeat, you will not be able to access Wikipedia. Why? Wikipedia, and other websites are protesting SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act, a bill currently in the House of Representatives that would impose penalties on websites suspected of violating copyright, in particular websites not originating from the United States, in US courts. Howard University Joins the WRLC!

January 9, 2012 - Happy New Year, Trinity! 2012 starts with some good news: effective today, January 9th, Howard University has joined the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC). The Trinity community now has access to over 11 million items through the WRLC. Students, faculty, and staff may visit the Howard libraries in person, bringing a valid and current Trinity ID, and request books from Howard via the WRLC catalog. Howard has particularly strong collections in Afro-American Studies, Divinity, and International Affairs, along with a robust Health Sciences program.
