Smartphone Setup for Students
Most smartphones, including Android, BlackBerry and iPhones can be configured with Google Apps and Gmail service.
Getting Started
- Your Trinity login password must be a minimum of 8 characters. Update your password at the Account Center if it is less than 8 characters. This will also update your Self-Service and Moodle passwords.
- Log into Gmail and synchronize your password prior to setting up your smartphone. Your phone will not work without synching passwords!

- Select from the following links below for remaining instructions:
Android Devices

Ensure your Trinity login password is at least 8 characters and you have synched it with Google.

On your Android phone, Open the Gmail app. Download it from either http://m.google.com/mail or the Android Marketplace.

Click Add account.

In the username field, type in your complete student email address. ie – doej@students.trinitydc.edu.

Input your password.

Click Next to finish configuration.
iPhone & iOS Devices

Ensure your Trinity login password is at least 8 characters and you have synched it with Google.
- Follow remaining instructions listed on Google Sync with your iOS device.
Windows Phone

Ensure your Trinity login password is at least 8 characters and you have synched it with Google.
- Follow remaining instructions listed on Google Sync with your Windows Phone.
BlackBerry
- Ensure your Trinity login password is at least 8 characters and you have synched it with Google.
- Download and install the BlackBerry Gmail app on your phone, and follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete set up.
