		<title>Further Q on P/NP or pass/no pass option - &quot;With the Advisor’s approval, the student may complete a Pass/No Pass form before the withdrawal deadline. Students may take a maximum of two courses on a Pass/No Pass (P/NP) basis during the first 64 credits at Trinity and a maximum of two courses during the last 64 credits.  Courses taken P/NP may not count towards the fulfillment of major or minor requirements except for internships or practicum.&quot;

-- Understood. Two follow-up questions.

1) Let&#039;s say a student takes a class P/NP (and passes it) during the semester she goes from 61 to 76 credits. Arguably the class could count as credits 62 through 64, right? How will this be scored? Can this be counted as a first-64-credits P/NP?

2) Same student, new wrinkle. She has taken her first P/NP as above, in the semester that takes her from 61 to 76. However, she had bailed out on 9 credits during a bad semester several years ago (and performed well before and since). So her transcript before the first P/NP reads 61 credits earned, 70 attempted.

The nut of the question is: during first / last 64 credits EARNED, or first / last 64 credits ATTEMPTED? My reading of it would be ATTEMPTED (admittedly, this is the reading most sympathetic to my advisee), because we&#039;re breaking up the number 128, which is the minimum # of credits EARNED, not ATTEMPTED, required for the degree.

Ultimately, given this scenario, I&#039;d like to tell the student that she has two P/NPs to play with during the rest of her degree, not just one, because the first P/NP might be said to fit BEFORE the 64-credit midway point. But the policy is ambiguous on this. / Beverly</title>

		<title>Co-requisites and FLC requirements - What happens when the co-requisites for the major overlap with the FLC requirments? Do CAS students have to take other courses to satisfy their FLC requirements? For example, Phil 103 is an FLC and a major requirement. Does she need to take another Phil/Rel. course in addition to the Reasoning and Argumentation which is listed as a co-requisite for her major?
Thanks,

		<title>Course waiver forms and current procedures? - Couple questions.

1. As of 1/14/09, the cap waiver form no longer is listed among the forms for faculty. Where else can I find it?

2. A few years back, if a faculty signed a waiver for a student allowing her into a CAS class, that permanently raised the cap -- in other words, if your class went from 30 to 31 to accommodate the student, the cap stuck there. It didn&#039;t sink back down to 30 when someone else dropped. (Or so we were told.) Is that still the case?

3. Can one process a cap waiver for a student who is not on the waitlist IF there is someone on the waitlist? Must that waitlisted student be processed first?

Thanks.</title>
