The Office of Human Resources is located in the Main Building, Rooms 130-134 and 119. Our operating hours are Monday – Friday 9am to 6pm. We facilitate the attraction, recruitment and retention of Trinity’s top talent! We are responsible for employee recruitment, payroll, salary and benefits administration, performance management, HR compliance, employee relations, work-study placements, and professional development.
Carole King, Vice President for Human Resources
Carole has oversight for Human Resources, Payroll, The Post Office and Department of Public Safety. She is directly responsible for salary administration, HR compliance, performance management, employee relations.
Tracey Prince Ross, Director
Tracey Prince Ross is the Director of Human Resources at Trinity Washington University. She has oversight for human resources operations, with direct responsibility for benefits administration, HR compliance, employee relations, new employee on-boarding, and professional development for staff. She received her B.S. in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University and her M.B.A. in Management from Southeastern University. Tracey has 16 years of HR management experience in higher education. Prior to higher education, she was an Assistant Vice President at a national bank. After a 15 year successful career in banking, specifically in the customer service, training and development, change management and human resources departments, Tracey wanted to use her experience to satisfy her passion for mission-driven initiatives, and higher education was the perfect fit. She has served in leadership roles in the local chapter of the College and University Professional Association of Human Resources (CUPA-HR) and currently serves on the board of the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington.
Chandra Hawkins-Robinson, Recruitment Director
Chandra Hawkins-Robinson is responsible for the full life cycle recruitment for both staff and faculty at Trinity. Chandra earned her Bachelors of Arts in Communications and Sociology from Hood College, formerly an all women’s institution in Frederick, MD and comes to Trinity with over 15 years of experience in staffing management, recruiting as well as marketing and sales. Before transitioning to the arena of staffing and human resources Chandra spent ten years in marketing and sales for Sony Music Distribution garnering multi- million dollar sales for platinum artist on both Columbia and Epic records. Chandra’s previous human resources experience centered around sourcing talent and building relationships with clients such as National Geographic, AARP, AAAS, Deloitte and Touché and many others in both the private and nonprofit sector. Chandra’s human resource interests include diversity and inclusion, and employer engagement initiatives. Her greatest sense of satisfaction comes from knowing that the trusting relationships she builds with potential candidates for Trinity allows them to come and fully engage themselves in the enrichment of education for all who seek to the opportunity for change.
Keisha Dancy, Payroll Manager
Keisha Dancy is the Payroll Manager and is responsible for processing payroll for all faculty, staff, and student workers as well as, time/record keeping, general ledger and reconciliation of all benefits, monthly, quarterly and annual returns. Keisha has over 25 years of payroll and customer service experience. Before focusing solely on payroll administration, Keisha was the Customer Liaison and Warranty Administrator for Bill Page Toyota and Honda in Fairfax VA for five years, where one of her many focuses was in representing the dealership on customer service and satisfaction reports to the Better Business Bureau. Keisha then relocated to Lawton, Oklahoma and became the Bookkeeper and Overdraft Administrator for City National Bank for three years. She later transitioned back to DC, and became the payroll specialist for Paychex, Inc. with a client base of over 400 companies (including higher education and clergy). She ended her 10 year span as the Senior New Client Specialist, where she was responsible for on-boarding and training payroll specialists and businesses, and joined Trinity where she continues to contribute, learn and thrive in a team-focused environment. Her hands on approach and keen eye for details allow her to be a great problem solver. Keisha works with integrity and her focus is to always provide accurate and timely customer service to the Trinity community.
Hanan Adnan, International Student Advisor and HR Generalist
Hanan brings over 16 years of experience in higher education including over 6 years at Trinity Washington University. She has worked in a variety of positions including Academic Advisor, International Student Advisor and Student Services. As an international Student Advisor/Designated School Official (DSO), Hanan’s responsibilities include creating immigration documents for newly admitted international students, ensuring students registration with US immigration, advice relating to maintenance of status, work permissions, extensions, coordination of international student orientation, University compliance with federal immigration regulations etc; She also serves as the HR Associate coordinating work-study placements and supporting the HR Office. Hanan brings a global perspective on education to Trinity. She completed her primary and secondary education in Ethiopia, India, Kenya and Egypt respectively. She then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems Management and a Master of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Southeastern University in Washington, DC. Hanan is fluent in English, Amharic, Harari and conversational in Arabic.
