Background

Catholics United seeks to recruit semester-long work study students for the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters. Student employees of and integral part of Catholics United’s team and will be assigned meaningful work with the organization.

About Catholics United                               

Catholics United us a national progressive Catholic organization that promotes the values of justice and the common good in our public debate. Working with our 45,000 members, we educate the public about values inherent in Catholic Social teaching. Catholics United Education Fund is a section 501(c) (3) organization under IRS code.

What are we looking for?

Catholics United is looking for critical thinkers who can easily adapt to challenges and learn new skills. Successful applicants will have some knowledge of Catholic social teaching and a strong desire to bring about positive structural change in the world.

What Catholics United work study students will do?

Our team of students employees work hand-in-hand with the Executive Director in implementing Catholic United campaign related activity past experience includes handling administrative tasks, such as research assignments and database management. When possible, we also invite students to join us for meetings at the white house and staffing donor events. Catholics United tailors each work experience to the needs and skill sets of each applicant and we work to make the student has a unique learning experience.

What Catholics United Interns can get out of the experience?

The intern will be on the cutting edge of the faith-based social-change movement. Catholics United prides itself on creating opportunities for leadership development. To that end, we will take every opportunity to invest in skill development of the intern and will make the experience coincide with their existing course work and career development.
