Post Office/Print Shop Manager

 
 

Trinity in Washington, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks a Post Office/Print Shop Manager. Trinity is a fast-growing institution with 2,555 students in Fall 2011. Trinity anticipates reaching its strategic goal of 3,000 students by 2015 or earlier. A century-old Catholic institution that still maintains a thriving core women’s college of 1,000 students, Trinity today is a diversified university with three coeducational professional schools offering both undergraduate and graduate programs in addition to the undergraduate women’s college.

The Post Office/Print Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Post Office Operations. The responsibilities will include: processioning and distributing mail for the entire university community as well as supervising and training the post office staff.

He/she will be will order and manage online postage and postal supplies and will as upgrade post office procedures for all new postal regulations. The manager will work with the student community in assigning mail boxes to incoming student and maintain mailboxes for current students. The manager will also provide other services to the university community, e.g. outgoing mail and handle daily cash for transactions.

He/she will also manage the receipt of packages and notification for package pick-up with the tracking system.

Secondary responsibilities include sorting, stuffing and stamping outgoing mail.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.

Three to five years in a postal facility. Knowledge of U.S. Postal Services procedure and regulations and of business processes.

Good verbal and written communications skills as well as a pleasant and supportive demeanor towards the entire Trinity community.

Organization Relationships

The Post Office/Print Shop Manager reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Reporting to the Manager is the Post Office Assistant
