Trinity, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the historic College of Arts and Sciences for undergraduate women. This position is available for the Spring 2014 semester.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a master’s degree in Chemistry with a terminal degree (Ph.D.) preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, ideally in a liberal arts setting. In addition to being dedicated and enthusiastic about teaching, the successful applicant must have the ability to integrate and infuse technology into classroom teaching and be open to nontraditional, creative teaching strategies. Applicants should also have a rich understanding of the ways that science courses support multiple disciplines, with a particular focus on Chemistry. Experience in online course management tools such as Moodle is a plus as is experience teaching diverse populations of undergraduate students.
