Trinity Washington University seeks an Admissions Recruiter.  Historically known as Trinity College, Trinity today is a small university with 2,700 students enrolled in four academic units, including more than 1,000 students in the full-time daytime undergraduate women’s college, and three coeducational professional schools offering a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees in evening, weekend and online formats.  Nearly 80% of Trinity’s students reside in the Washington, D.C. region, and about 90% are African American and Hispanic.

Job Description

Work within the Admissions team to maintain and build the Trinity brand with businesses that results in increased prospect and applicant pools. Collaborate with admissions staff, sharing best practices, current challenges, and opportunities and to assist in framing overall recruitment strategy and meeting enrollment goals.  Research industry and employment trends, as well as regional demographic data, to strategically determine valuable markets in accounting, business, health care, education, government, nonprofit, and hospitality industries.  Focus specifically on identifying, cultivating, and establishing new relationships with companies that do not have formal recruiting relationships with Trinity. Broaden existing industry relationships both functionally and geographically.  Much business outreach will happen through individual conversations; some will happen through the development and execution of business-facing events, including information sessions, career fairs, and education fairs. Utilize outreach database for reporting/analysis that measure progress against department goals.  May collaborate with Alumni Relations, Development, and Career Center to cultivate new contacts in appropriate industries.
Job Requirements

A minimum of two-three years’ work experience is required; preferably in sales, development, business, recruitment, or employer relations. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.  Individual must have superior communication, outreach, presentation and networking skills. Professional demeanor, including tact and discretion, with a track record of establishing positive client relationships required.  Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills; the ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail; a motivated/enthusiastic work style; and the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents. Proficiency in Microsoft is required. Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including early morning, evening and weekends during peak times is necessary and expected.

This position requires an extensive amount of fieldwork as well as significant travel.
