Trinity Washington University invites applications for adjunct faculty for the fall 2012 semester for courses in Critical Reading for the Health Professions. The course helps students develop critical reading skills such as paraphrasing, text analysis, identifying authors’ organizational strategies, and evaluating evidence using texts that address contemporary health issues. In addition, the course covers medical terminology in preparation for the nursing and allied health majors.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree in literacy, education or a related field. Some knowledge or experience in life sciences, health or health education a plus.

- Monday/Wednesday, 3:00-3:15 pm OR
- Tuesday/Thursday, 9:00-10:15 am
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations, or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if invited to campus for an interview.
Candidates will be asked to conduct a teaching demonstration as a part of the interview process. The review of applicants will continue until the position is filled.
