Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions for the College of Arts and Science
Trinity Washington University, located in Washington D.C. has an immediate opening for the position of Admissions Recruiter/Counselor or Assistant Director of Admissions for the college of Arts and Science.
This position is responsible for meeting enrollment goals in the recruitment of first-year students to the legacy women’s college at Trinity. This responsibility includes: managing a recruitment territory; telemarketing to prospective students; evaluating admission applications and making admissions and scholarship recommendations; recruitment travel to represent Trinity at college fairs; and visits to area schools and community based organizations; assisting in the coordination of campus visit programs; conducting interviews with prospective students; working closely with administrators and faculty at the university; and other duties as assigned. In all of these tasks, the Assistant Director must be highly energetic, enthusiastic, and able to clearly and persuasively articulate the mission of Trinity to prospective students, parents, guidance counselors and alumnae. Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and clear driving record. The ability to work evenings and weekends required.
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred. Entry level to 2 years of experience in an admissions/enrollment office as a recruiter or counselor for the Recruiter/Counselor position; and 2-4 years of experience in an admissions/enrollment office as a recruiter or counselor for the Assistant Director position; a sense of humor; the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; and demonstrated success in meeting enrollment goals. Hands on experience with Microsoft Office suite and student information systems required; knowledge of SCT PowerCampus a plus.
