Trinity, a comprehensive university in Washington, D.C., invites applications for a full-time Mathematics Instructor position in the College of Arts and Sciences, commencing in fall 2011. The successful candidate will have professional experience in developmental mathematics specifically and mathematics education in general. Responsibilities of the position include offering dynamic instruction tailored to the needs of variant student populations at Trinity; designing and delivering supplemental instruction sessions to students needing additional support, both inside the classroom and in extracurricular settings; and playing an active role in assessing both student proficiency and student learning outcomes, using results to improve student placement and retention.
The candidate must possess at least a master’s degree in mathematics education, mathematics, or a related field which could include developmental education. Other requirements of the position include a minimum of two years experience teaching mathematics at the college level.
