Trinity in Washington, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks an energetic and highly organized Conference Services Coordinator to provide coordination, assistance and support to conferences and programs for internal and external publics. This is a full time position, which reports to the Director of Campus Housing and Conferences.
Provide coordination for large and small conferences on the campus of Trinity Washington University. Serve as the liaison to catering, facilities, security and IT for all University events. Respond to RFPs to attract new and continuing business. Design and develop Conference Service bids. Provide services needed at each conference to ensure customer satisfaction. Supervision and training of work study students and summer Conference Assistants. Process all non-academic requests for space for University constituents. Provide clerical support for events. Deal with customer complaints and correspondence. Monitor supplies and equipment deliveries. Manage office budget and financials. Ensure that all legal, health and all other regulations are followed. Have active communication with staff, colleagues and supervisors. Assist with marketing for programs and events. Assist with internal events such as Commencement, Alumni Reunion, Class Traditions, Convocation and other events deemed necessary. Serve as the contact person for Linen Vendor and other campus vendors. Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required; Previous experience in a customer service field required; Exemplary interpersonal and organizational skills; Ability to multi-task; Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; Requires flexibility to work evening and weekend hours.
