Assistant Professor of English (African-American Literature)

 
 

Trinity in Washington, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks an experienced English faculty member to teach African American literature and/or the literature of the African diaspora. This is a tenure track position.

Qualifications: The candidate should have experience teaching composition to undergraduates and experience working in a highly diverse teaching environment.  Trinity welcomes candidates who also have experience in English program administration.   An earned Ph.D. in English is required.

Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations, or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if invited to campus for an interview.
