Assistant Professor of Counseling

 
 

Trinity Washington University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Counseling. The successful candidate will chair the Counseling program and contribute to its growth and development.

Responsibilities: The Assistant Professor will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Counseling program. She/he will be prepared to teach Counseling courses at all levels, as well as supervise Counseling students during their Practicum and Internship experiences. Position responsibilities also include recruiting adjunct professors to teach courses in the program.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to teaching and advising and a record of effective administrative experience at the graduate level. She or he will demonstrate versatility in teaching a wide variety of courses and enthusiasm for teaching students in the field of Counseling.

Education Requirement: A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in the field of Counseling Education, Counseling or a closely related major is a requirement.

Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations, or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if invited to campus for an interview.
