An online security vulnerability known as “heartbleed” was revealed to the public earlier this week. It affects more than an estimated two-thirds of websites on the internet today. These websites include many online vendors, banks, email providers, etc. The ramifications are serious, with potential for hackers to bypass security on many websites and access your personal data. You can read more at most major news outlets, or by searching “heartbleed” for more information.
Trinity’s major online systems were not affected by this vulnerability, therefore we do not believe there to be any cause for concern with institutional data.
However, this may be a good time to consider changing all of your passwords used on your personal and professional websites. To change your Trinity account password, visit our Account Center.
