Text-Only Version

Kurzweil Reading & Writing Software

Kurzweil 3000 is a comprehensive reading, writing and learning software designed to assist individuals with learning disabilities in their academics.

  • For studying, reads aloud text from the Web and scanned printed materials at adjustable speeds and voices, while enlarging and/or highlighting text to meet individual student needs
  • For typing writing assignments, reads what student is typing aloud, allowing for self-correction of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure
  • For test preparation, records voice and written notes that can be placed within text and played back for student
  • For exam taking, professors or staff can scan questions and students can respond to all types of questions on their computers (i.e., multiple choice, fill-in the blank)
