Trinity Remembers Rosa Parks
Share Your Reflections
Thursday, December 1, is the 50th Anniversary of the day that Rosa
Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus. During the day on
Thursday, there will be a continuous showing of films on the life
of Rosa Parks in the Green Room, which is accessible from Main’s
lobby.
To create a special Trinity remembrance of Rosa Parks on this date,
President McGuire invites your reflections
on the significance of Rosa Parks’ actions that day, and her
influence on civil rights and human rights through the last
half century.
You can participate in two ways:
- You can submit reflections to a special virtual message board
by using the simple form below (closed) .
- There will be a special message board in the Well on Thursday
and paper on which you can write and post your thoughts on the
meaning of Rosa Parks in your life, and the lives of so many others.
Stop by and share your reflections. The online reflections will
also be posted on the message board.
Please include your first name, and if you are a student, faculty
member or staff member.
The message board in the Well and the virtual bulletin board will
be up through the exam period to collect additional reflections.
Then, reflections will be compiled into a collage or booklet that
Trinity may also share more publicly as “Reflections of the
Trinity Community on the Life of Rosa Parks.”
