Nominations for the Joanne and William Conway Scholarship
High school principals and their designees are invited to nominate high-achieving students for consideration for the Conway Scholars Program.
The Joanne and William Conway Scholarships are for full-time daytime undergraduate students who wish to pursue studies in nursing at Trinity. The Conway Scholarship Program is a selective, competitive opportunity for high-achieving, low-income students to earn a prestigious scholarship worth $10,000 per year for up to five years of enrollment.
Trinity will select 20 Conway Scholars for the Fall 2016 class based on the results of the Conway Scholars Selection Day on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Trinity. Participation is by invitation only based on the nomination of principals or their designees, or Trinity’s selection of candidates from among current applicants.
Candidates must apply to and meet the entrance requirements for Trinity’s College of Arts and Sciences, which is Trinity’s women’s college, and the candidates must also meet additional requirements of the School of Nursing and Health Professions for admission as pre-nursing candidates. Preferred candidates will have a high school cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 and a science/math grade point average of 2.75. Candidates for the Conway Scholars Program must be Pell Grant eligible, and reside in the District of Columbia, Prince George’s County or Montgomery County. Conway Scholars must also be able to reside on campus for at least the first year of college.
