EDU 510A Integrating American Art in Middle & High School Humanities Curricula: The Clarice Smith National Teacher Institutes, Level I
Preparing grades 6 – 12 social studies, history, and English/language arts teachers to substantively and routinely incorporate American art into classrooms, this course introduces students to the Smithsonian American Art Museum collection; visual literacy methodologies; inquiry-based strategies; and connections between artwork, technology, and core curricula.
