Winter Graduation 2013Winter Graduation will take place on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 5:00pm in the Trinity Center for Women and Girls in Sports for those students who complete their degrees in August 2012 and December 2012. Trinity graduate Marie Dennis ’64, co-president of Pax Christi International and a lifelong peace and human rights activist, will receive an honorary doctor of laws and give the keynote remarks to the graduates. Winter Graduation will include academic regalia and a formal ceremony, but it will be smaller and more intimate than the Commencement ceremony that takes place in May. Graduates are welcome to invite your families and friends, though seating in the Trinity Center is limited, and you will receive only 10 tickets for your guests. Please review the Dean’s Letter and the Winter Graduation Checklist, paying close attention to deadlines and information regarding the completion of your academic requirements and the fulfillment of your financial obligations. Please complete the Winter Graduation Reservation Form by Thursday, January 3, 2013, and complete the Graduation Survey. August and December graduates, please note: Your participation in Winter Graduation is optional. If you choose to participate in Winter Graduation, we will read your name and present you with your diploma. You are also welcome to participate in the May Commencement in your academic regalia, and you will process with your class; however, we will not read your name again and we will not present you with your diploma again. If receiving your diploma at the May Commencement is important to you, then you can certainly decide to fully participate in the May ceremony, but we will only read your name and present you with a diploma at one ceremony. |
