Commencement | May 2009: Commencement Review

Commencement: Sunday, May 17 2009

Three hundred forty-six diplomas were awarded during Trinity’s 106th commencement, with thousands of cheering guests in attendance. Trinity proudly congratulates its new alumnae and alumni.

In her remarks to the class of 2009, President Patricia McGuire encouraged the graduates to become “courageous leaders for justice and peace, advocates for those who have no voice, exemplars of honor, beacons of hope in the darkest of places.” Read and hear President McGuire’s remarks here.

Commencement speaker Maggie Williams, former Chief of Staff for then first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, spoke of enduring values, saying “community is built with bricks of compassion and consideration.” Read and hear Ms. Williams’ remarks.
