Transfer Student Orientation Schedule: Fall 2013

A note about Transfer Student Orientation

Residential and commuter transfer students are invited to attend all of the programs and activities listed on the schedule. The schedule includes time to tie up loose ends for fall enrollment, to get to know your new Trinity sisters, and to prepare for the first day of classes. Although many events are optional, the Transfer Student Orientation program scheduled for Monday, August 26th is required for all transfer students. We look forward to seeing you at each of these events!

Thursday, August 22nd

Transfer Student Move-In
Kerby Hall, Main Hall, Alumnae Hall

Students who have opted to live on-campus will move into their assigned residence halls. Housing assignments and move-in details are provided by Ms. Cat Hopkins, Director of Campus Housing. Please contact Ms. Hopkins (hopkinsc@trinitydc.edu) with any questions related to move-in or campus housing.

As members of the Trinity community, staff, faculty, and students alike are active members of the local community, giving of their time and themselves to important causes. Be a part of this tradition by joining your Trinity sisters for a day of service. Transfer Student Orientation
Transfer student orientation is specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of students joining the Trinity community with some previous college experience. Topics such as academic advising, campus resources, and a meet and greet luncheon with faculty advisors are on the agenda for the day. All transfer students are required to attend Transfer Student Orientation.

The campus resource fair is an opportunity to become familiar with important offices and departments that will be an important part of students’ educational experience here at Trinity. Get to know the services and resources Trinity provides and the staff members who provide them.

Hands-On Banking, Presented by Wells Fargo
Students are invited to join representatives from Wells Fargo bank as they share information on managing money, banking, and the importance of handling one’s finances.

Mark the beginning of your Trinity experience by joining all of your new sisters at Convocation.  Convocation is the opening of the academic year, commemorated by each student signing the honor book and receiving her first-year medal.  Attire for this event is business casual, please dress accordingly and arrive by 9:45am to be seated.
