Tsion_Ghirmai_PhotoWhy did you choose Trinity Washington University?

The idea of attending an all women’s institution never crossed my mind during my search for the perfect University. However, when I realized that Trinity was giving me the most money I decided why not be courteous to my Fathers pockets!

How will you use our education to become a dynamic leader in your community?
I take full pride in the education that I have received because I know for a fact that it will serve as such a positive force to my community. I truly believe that my education at Trinity Washington University has sculpted me to become very driven and diligent in whatever I decide to embark upon. I will use what I have learned to change the lives of women who have been subjected to abuse and exploitation. I will utilize my voice to move mountains for women who are forced to remain silent. My education will be my vehicle to implementing change and altering lives for the better.

If you could issue a statement to young girls that could be broadcast for the whole world to see, what would you say to them?
I would tell young girls that whatever they decide to do, to always remain true to self and never allow anyone or any situation silence their truth.

What inspires you?
Passion inspires me. There’s nothing more inspiring than to watch someone exude passion and enthusiasm when it comes to something they admire or even something they’re good at. Ultimately, women inspire me most to keep pushing no matter what. I am a DJ, and although this industry is heavily male-dominated, having women shower me with encouragement and motivational words after my sets make me feel like I’m on top of the world. There’s something about the divine feminine energy that is manifested when women congregate and I believe it is one of the most exhilarating and empowering feelings.
