THEME LIVING COMMUNITIES

A Theme Living Community (TLC) offers a unique residential experience for focused exploration, action, reflection, and the education of others on an issue in society.

Some of the benefits for students include:

  • Develop a network of friends.
  • Make an easier transition to college.
  • Improve grades.
  • Graduate at higher rates than peers that live on-campus and do not belong to an LLC.
  • Meet people who have a common goal.
  • Participate in social activities related to mutual interests
  • Find help and encouragement informally through networking with peers.
  • Experience a residential setting that is an active, supportive, and exciting place to live and learn.

TRINITY Theme Living Communities

Literary Ladies – The Literary Ladies is for anyone with an interest in reading, writing, and literature. This community holds book discussions, attends plays, watches literary films, organizes social events, collaborates on poetry and fiction readings and so much more. The goal is for people who share a common passion for Literature to come together.

Trinity Tailored – Trinity Tailored is a model community for the rest of the campus. They will provide activities geared towards etiquette, what it means to be a trinity woman & scholar and provide leadership and motivational activities to the student population.

Business Society – The Business Society will focus on business and trending economic issues. They will explore the many business models utilized by organizations worldwide and study markets and culture as an extension of business knowledge.

Active Elite – The Active Elite community exist to safely promote a fun and healthy environment through events such as rides, weight training, hiking, service projects and fitness exploration.

The Disciplines – The Disciplines strive to provide unity within the community for students who have an interest in science. Students will be provided with the opportunity to interact and participate in various campus events as a group that explore the disciplines of science such as; Chemistry, Biology and Anatomy.

The Historics –The Historics will explore the rich history of Washington DC and other worldwide cultures. This knowledge will propel students to create activities to present to their peers and encourage the student body to take advantage of the many museums and monuments found in our nation’s capital.

Social Justice League – The Social Justice League will assist students in gaining perspective on social justice issues, learn about service opportunities, social justice movements and develop positive methods on how to bring together diverse communities.

Creative Arts Collective – The Creative Arts Collective will explore art in its many forms (paintings, sculptures, etc…). Link art to education and provide knowledge on how to enhance students learning experiences.

The One-Note Club – The One-Note Club purpose is to experience music and entertainment through popular music, oldies and contemporary music. It provides the opportunity for students to express themselves artistically and musically. It allows students to gain not just musical perspective but personal expression and confidence.

 TRINITY TLC Engagement Opportunities

All students living in Cuvilly Hall will be expected to fully participate in their Theme Living Community.  This will include creating community standards, residence hall council, small group educational experiences.
