The Trinity Tigers celebrated Valentine’s Day with a convincing victory Monday night beating the Crusaders from Christendom College 72-53. The Tigers struggled in the first half shooting only 7 for 42 and went into halftime down 26-32 but quickly found their rhythm outscoring the Crusaders by 25 points securing the win.
Senior Danielle Owens led the team with 19 points and recorded her 9th double-double of the season with 13 rebounds. Sophomore, Thamar Polynice added 15 points for the Tigers and Sophomore LaShawna Ervin netted in 12 points. Sophomore Charity Blackwell hit the boards hard for the Tigers contributing 12 rebounds.
The Tigers are on the road again Friday night as they travel to Fort Detrick to take on the Blazers from Hood College. Game time is 7:00 pm.
