The Trinity Tigers lost a close game Monday night falling to the Chargers of Lancaster Bible 54-62. The Tigers were only down 4 points at halftime and closed that gap to one in the first few minutes of the second half but the Chargers hit 3 three pointers to increase their lead to 11 with 8 minutes left to play. The Tigers did not give up and were within 6 points with 3 minutes left in the game but the Chargers held on to secure the win.
Freshman LaShawna Ervin led the team with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Senior, Danielle Owens recorded her fifth double double of the season with 10 points and 15 rebounds. The Tigers are on the road again Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Crusaders from Christendom College.
