The Tigers got off to a slow start Monday night as Hood jumped out to a 12-5 lead within the first six minutes but the Tigers started hitting their shots and tied the score at 19 off a three-pointer by Ashley Brown at the eight minute mark.  The Tigers went into halftime with a five point lead, 32-27.

Hood came out on fire and scored the first seven points of the second half to take the lead.  The Tigers closed the gap several times but Hood took the lead for good with 14 minutes to play in the second half, despite a last minute run by the Tigers.  Ashley Brown led the Tigers with 21 points and 7 rebounds.  Dominique Meriedy netted 9 points and Charity Blackwell led the Tigers with 11 rebounds.  The Tigers are in action again Tuesday as they take on Wilson College at 7:00 pm.
