Tigers Finish Season with Two Wins

The Trinity basketball team finished the season with two wins against AWCC conference rivals Wilson and Hood College. The victory against Wilson College, 72-39, served as the final home game for three seniors, Ashley West, Lauren Hall and Courtney Knox. The ladies were joined on court by their parents and were honored with flowers and balloons during halftime. Lauren Hall led all scorers with 19 points followed by Preshuse Jackson with 14. Ashley West recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

On Monday, the Tigers wrapped up the regular season with a victory against Hood College, 84-77. Brandy Boulette came off the bench and scored a season high 22 points to help lead the team to victory. Lauren Hall led all scorers with 23 points while Danielle Owens recorded her fourth double-double (13 points, 12 rebounds) of the season.

The win secured the Tigers a spot in the AWCC Conference basketball tournament this weekend at Chatham College in Pittsburgh. The Tigers will play their first round game against Mary Baldwin College on Friday at 8 pm. The team finished the regular season with a 10-12 overall record and 6-4 in the AWCC.
