TIGERS FALL TO WESLEY IN OVERTIME

The Tigers came up short in an attempt to stretch their win streak to three games as they fell to Wesley College (DE) 76-74 in overtime. Trinity held a two point lead with six seconds left in regulation when Wesley’s Michele Mules connected on two free throws to send the game into overtime. With two seconds remaining in overtime, free throws were the deciding factor. Wesley’s Shirelle Tingle stepped to the free throw line with the score tied at 74 and knocked down both free throws to seal the victory for Wesley.

Leading the Tigers in scoring was Janel Hamilton with 20 points followed by Sherree Henderson with 14 and Lauren Hall with 11.

The Tiger’s travel to Buena Vista, VA this Friday for a non-conference match-up against Southern Virginia University and Saturday against Newport News Aprrentice School.
