Tigers lose close one….

The Trinity Tigers basketball team lost a close game Monday night against Hood College, losing 57-68. The first half saw five ties and five lead changes as the Tigers had the lead at halftime 27-26. The Tigers maintained their lead for the first 7 minutes of the second half until a basket from hood tied the game 35-35 with 12:40 to go in regulation. Hood increased their lead to five but a surge by the Tigers, netting 8 straight points took the lead once again. With five minutes to go in the game Hood pulled ahead, holding on to their lead to claim the victory.
Danielle Pettis lead the Tigers with 19 points, while Sharell Kyle had 18 and Morgan Kellman contributed 10 points. Jamie Lepak lead the Tigers in rebounds with 7. The Tigers are in action again on Wednesday hitting the road to play Christopher Newport.
Chatham Tip-Off Tournament

After losing on Friday to Chatham College the Tigers played in the consolation game on Saturday against Mary Baldwin College losing 58-39. Danielle Pettis had a career high 16 points, 6 rebounds, followed by Sharell Kyle who had 9 points and 10 rebounds. The Tigers next game is Tuesday November 25th at home against Southern Virginia University.
Pettis Named on All-Tournament Team
All Tournament Team Named for Chatham University Tip-Off

Six players were honored with selection to the All-Tournament team at the 2nd annual Chatham University Tip-Off Tournament.
Trinity (DC) sophomore Danille Pettis(Wheaton, MD) averaged 11.5 points, and 8 rebounds per game to earn All-Tournament honors.
