The Health Science program educates students to enhance the quality of life, health, and well-being of individuals in society throughout the lifespan; a second concentration prepares students for graduate programs in physical therapy. Offered with the School of Professional Studies, the program focuses on promoting healthier lifestyles physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Depending on which concentration students choose, completing the program successfully equips them with the tools to enter the fitness industry or pursue physical therapy graduate education.
The program also affords students the opportunity for experiential learning through various fieldwork experiences in such environments as hospitals, rehabilitation settings, work hardening facilities, and fitness facilities.
Areas of Concentration
- Health Fitness

- Pre-Physical Therapy
Students in the Health Science Pre-Physical Therapy concentration take courses that prepare them to continue into graduate programs in physical therapy.
