Criminal Justice

The system of justice in the United States keeps citizens safe, and punishes and rehabilitates those who break the law. Learn the how the justice system works, from crime prevention to criminal rehabilitation.

In Trinity’s criminal justice program, you will study criminal law, corrections, the science of criminal behavior, law enforcement, corrections, and law administration, including juvenile justice.  In addition to studying the history and theoretical basis of the field, you will get hands-on experience through an internship at one of Washington’s many criminal justice organizations. Recent internships include DC Superior Court, US Department of State, Maryland General Assembly, and Montgomery County Crisis Center.

With a degree in criminal justice, you will have a wide variety of paths to consider. While many students go on to become law enforcement officers and private investigators, a criminal justice degree is also great preparation if your plans include law school or other graduate-level studies.

Trinity knows your life is already busy, which is why the school offers convenient evening and weekend classes to more easily fit into your hectic schedule. Unlike larger schools, at Trinity you will enjoy one-on-one relationships with your professors, and benefit from smaller average class sizes.
