What better place to study political science than the nation’s capital? Trinity’s political science program teaches theory in the classroom, then provides real-world experiences in politics and government. Students sit in on Senate hearings, work on political campaigns, intern on Capitol Hill, conduct political polling and gain professional contacts and networking opportunities before they even graduate! Trinity has an impressive track record of graduates continuing on to law school, careers in politics, even election to governorships and the speaker of the House of Representatives!

The Political Science program emphasizes both the study of political science as a discipline and the active, practical participation of students in the political process.  Trinity’s location in the nation’s capital serves students in two ways: utilization of the city’s political and governmental institutions as learning laboratories and providing students with professional contacts and networking opportunities well before they graduate.
