Undergraduate & Graduate Degrees in Washington, DC

Fine Arts

No liberal arts degree would be complete without the study of fine arts, and where better to learn about art than Washington with its many museums, and venues including the National Gallery of Art and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Art? Field trips to these and other galleries and concert halls are an important part of the studying fine arts at Trinity.

Trinity students explore their creativity through courses in art history, studio art, dance, and music. By studying artworks from periods throughout history students acquire historical consciousness as well as a basic understanding of the methods of visual analysis.  Art courses help prepare students to succeed in today’s increasingly visual culture by introducing them to concepts of aesthetics and design.

Each semester Trinity presents an art exhibit, featuring student works and student performances of music and dance. Many students also participate in Trinity’s dance and step teams.

Students study fine arts at Trinity as elective courses, or as a minor.
