Trinity’s English program invites students to explore all types of literature from Shakespeare to recent works, and to examine how the authors treat topics of social relevancy, including gender and ethnicity. In addition to reading and discussing texts, students also learn to improve their own writing, including fiction, poetry, and business writing.
The analytical and writing skills developed through the study of English serve graduates of the program in their workplace, where the ability to communicate clearly in written form is important for career success.
Students study English at Trinity as a major, minor, or as elective courses.
