Economics

In our society, economics is the main reason behind many life-changing decisions for individuals and organizations alike. Understand how the economy works, and how economic factors influence the cost of everyday life, and the economic life of organizations and governments.

Trinity’s economics professors illustrate conceptual frameworks like macro- and micro-economics by applying them to current issues in the news. Students learn to critically analyze how US economic policy can affect this country’s citizens, and have the opportunity to intern in the offices of some of the nation’s most powerful policy-makers and regulatory agencies.

Students study economics at Trinity as a minor, or as elective courses.

Why Study Economics

In addition to making sense of the nightly news, studying economics is the basis of many exciting and lucrative careers. Trinity’s economics program prepares students for graduate work in economics, business, public administration, and law. It also provides the necessary tools for direct entry into business, government, and the fields of banking or finance.  The balanced coordination of economics and business administration courses is also appropriate for entry into a variety of civil service positions with the federal, state and local government.
