How much of the evening news is about what happens in Washington, DC? As one of the nation’s top media markets, and a hotbed of message-driven organizations, Washington is an ideal place to study the field of communication.
Trinity’s communication students study how people and organizations communicate, and the role of public discourse and mass communication. Dedicated professors help students develop written and oral communication skills and an increased understanding of human interaction. A degree in communication prepares graduates for many different careers, and is flexible enough to suit many interests.
Students study communication at Trinity as a major, minor, or as elective courses.
Why Study Communication?
The communications industry includes jobs in journalism, public relations, advertising, mass media, publishing, and marketing. Trinity’s Communication major provides broad exposure to any of these industries, and is also a great basis for many careers in the business industry and related disciplines such as law.
