Chemistry makes modern life possible. From plastics to medicines, jet fuel to drinking water, we take the results of chemistry for granted every day. Chemistry is also a vital part of almost any scientific job.

The Trinity Chemistry program gives students a solid foundation in analytical, organic, and physical chemistry, and emphasizes the central roles that chemistry plays in the global scientific environment. Through hands-on experiments, chemistry students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success in fields where women are still underrepresented. Students hone these skills through internships at many of Washington’s leading science and technology corporations.

Students study chemistry at Trinity as a major, minor, or as elective courses.
