On occasion, Programs in International Affairs at Trinity seeks work-study students who can provide direct assistance in the development and administration of Programs in International Affairs at Trinity.

Trinity's Programs in International Affairs are rapidly becoming a more visible part of our college community. As this continues, we need qualified and motivated students to assist in a variety of ways.

This work-study position will provide an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge about international issues and the way programs are created and administrated. The work will usually be substantive and challenging. Students will assist in various projects including the International Affairs Issue Forum, Speakers Program and Graduate Certificate Programs, with meeting and research linked to the Haiti Program, and with a variety of International Affairs courses.

In addition to providing students an opportunity to broaden their academic experience, this work-study position will provide an opportunity to meet and work with some very interesting people. Further, students will have an opportunity to learn and practice resourcefulness by working independently and turn ideas into actions!

Flexibility is inherent in the position. With the exception of specific events, work hours tend to be flexible. Many tasks can be executed at any location.

Duties:

  • Conduct computer-based research
  • Publicize events
  • Help organize meetings and activities
  • Assist with special projects
  • Attend events and greet guests

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in international affairs
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Excellent computer skills
