INAF 312 Haiti
2004: Two Hundred Years After Independence
Provides an overview of Haiti as it marks
its 200th anniversary of independence
Examines the country's political, economic and social evolution.
Emphasizes developments since the 1986 demise of the Duvalier
dictatorship, including international relations and today's
challenges. Examines trends in Haitian migration since the late
1960s and evolution of the Haitian-American population in the
U.S.

INAF 230 Women's Issues in Russia
and the United States: Differences and Similarities
Analyzes gender issues in Russia and
the United States, emphasizing differences and similarities.
Focuses on the pecularities of gender equity in Russia and the
US.
Examines the importance of women's involvement in political
institutions
Analyzes effective strategies to improve women's role and status
in society.

INAF 390 Spies and Analysts:
The U.S. Intelligence COmmunities
The course surveys the structure, mission
and role of U.S. intelligence agencies and its impact on the
development in the world. It is taught by Dr. Lenora Peters-Gant,
a CIA Scholar-in-Residence at Trinity College.(Monday, 1:30
- 4:00PM)
INAF 411 Model Assembly of the
Organization of American States
Prepares students for participation in
the Organization of American States Model Assembly, a simulation
of the proceedings and deliberations of the actual OAS General
Assembly. Students learn about the structure and function of
the OAS and about diplomatic rules of procedure, while also
practicing research, writing and debating skills required for
participation in the model assembly. (Wednesday, 1.30 -4.00pm)
Prerequisite: INAF 201 and INAF 311
